The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is a full-size mechanical keyboard that leans hard into control density: eight dedicated macro inputs (five keys plus three programmable side buttons), a tactile Command Dial that can hold up to 100 custom profiles, and four dedicated media keys alongside a volume roller — none of which require a software overlay just to access.
Under the keycaps, Razer's own mechanical switches (available in clicky green or linear yellow) run at an 8000Hz Hyperpolling rate, well above the 1000Hz that was standard for years, aimed at shaving input latency down for competitive play.
The detachable wrist rest is more than a comfort accessory here — attaching it extends the keyboard's Chroma RGB underglow across 20 additional lighting zones, which is a small but genuinely thoughtful touch for a $230 keyboard that's clearly built to be the centerpiece of a battlestation, not just another peripheral.
